About George Observatory

The George Observatory, a branch of the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences, is open every Saturday night of the year in Brazos Bend State Park. The have 3 domed observatory telescopes that visitors can use to observe many of the night sky’s natural wonders, which is dependent on the season of the year and time of the month (moon cycle). Spend some time with your loved ones under the stars and pack a picnic. Please note that in order to get to the observatory, you must pay the admission fee to Brazos Bend State Park, and the ticket to use the three telescopes is a separate cost.
