About Xeomin

Temporarily relax the muscles in your face with anti-aging treatment Xeomin. Smooth the muscles in your face with Xeomin’s main ingredient, Botulinum toxin A, which blocks nerve activity and muscle movement in the treatment area. Sugar Land and Houston, TX-based board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Jay Shenaq, can help you determine if Xeomin is the right injectable for your beauty goals. During a private consultation at either office, Dr. Shenaq will assess your wrinkles and provide a treatment plan with Xeomin or other injectables to rejuvenate your facial skin.

Best Candidates

Best candidates for Xeomin injections are men and women who:

  • Have severe to moderate wrinkles
  • In general good health
  • Are not good candidates for plastic surgery but still want an anti-aging treatment

What to Expect

Are Xeomin injections painless? No. However, we can provide you a topical anesthetic before the needle goes into your skin for the mild discomfort it may cause. Your session takes about 20 minutes but the results last about 3 months. Expect to see some swelling, redness or slight bruising at the injection site. Also, you should avoid strenuous activity for a few hours following your treatment.

Other Considerations

Xeomin patients have to wait the entire 3 months after their last injection or the procedure can be really painful. If you decide to no longer wish to have Xeomin injections, it doesn’t harm your skin if you stop after 3 months. Consult with your doctor about your experience with the medication if you wish to stop and about other options available.
